Dedicated to organic, low-yielding wine

Much like the vineyard, we adopt a minimalist winemaking philosophy based on the use of whole cluster and 100% natural/native yeast fermentations. For Chardonnay and Pinot Noir we do this in exquisite teardrop Perle de Quintessence French oak barrels, designed to integrate early with the wine, preserve fruit, add complexity and offer a hint of soft oak aromatics. When we feel our wines are ready to be bottled, we use minimal fining and filtration to retain terroir and character, resting the bottled wines for 3 months before releasing them.

2019 Pinot Noir Rose

Made in very small quantities, this wine is produced from 100% 1st year Pinot Noir fruit. The fruit was hand-harvested and picked at an optimum ripeness of 24 brix before being gently whole-cluster pressed into in stainless steel (65%) for fermentation to retain fruity freshness while the other 35% was pressed into 1 Perle de Quintessence french oak barrel (300L) for fermentation to add complexity and texture.

Our wine is lovingly hand-crafted with a minimalist philosophy, using a mix of whole cluster and 100% natural fermentation. Over millions of years, the Northbank valley has developed a rich, naturally diverse soil, producing a wine that expresses incredible elegance, texture and length.
